i wanted to like this book but it was just not it for me. too fast of a read, not a great story line overall either
Absolutely loved Brett and Addison, their relationship and their love story. After having the start of a relationship ten years ago, seeing each other brought back so many memories both good and bad. He left for the Air Force and didn't want to drag her down with him, as his father implied. Neither of them tried to contact each other. I laughed and cried with this story, couldn't put it down.
Brett ran away 10 years ago from an alomost relationship due to a misunderstanding. He's spent 10 years thinking of only her. Addi has never found anyone like Brett, and has spent the last 10 years comparing every relationship to the one that left her all those years ago. They have a 2nd chance when Brett comes back to their hometown. What a great read♡♡ I love Amelia Wilde's writing style and the character development is great. Don't hesitate to add this bookto your collection.
I voluntarily reviewed an arc fir this author. This book has it all excitement, hot and steamy scenes, and amazing characters. I was hooked from the start and couldn't put the book down once I started. Amelia Wilde has always been a favorite of mine and books like this are why. This is a must read.
This is a second chance romance story and I love a second chance romance. Unfortunately I was disappointed in the writing - too descriptive in scenes but not enough description in story lines - had potential to be really good and there were parts that were well written - but just not all the way through. I liked the two of them together but there were so many communication problems that it dragged the story down - minimal sex scenes - the epilogue was the best part
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. I love everything written by this author. This book is no exception. I loved this story! When I first read the blurb I thought that someone may have forced Brett to leave town or else! But the psychological and emotional job that was done on that poor kid was outrageous, even if he contributed to it himself by not telling Addi. I also felt that dumb things they did as kids carried into their twenties too. For both Addi and Brett. I almost wanted to shake them!! House-obsessed much?? This couple needed to learn to communicate. Did I think they would? Perhaps. Would they get their HEA? Perhaps. They had the potential. They loved each other. But somebody was scared. You'll just have to read the book!!!
Brett and Addison share an almost relationship back when they were younger. But one day Brett disappears and she doesn't see him till 10 yrs later. Brett felt like he had to prove himself so he joined the Air Force and became a pilot. Addison wants and needs to know why Brett left. Much heartbreak for Addison and I can't help feeling she gave in too easily but she is strong and willing to take another chance on Brett. Brett had such insecurities when he was younger and felt he just had to prove himself to his father. Misconceptions abound in this book. Quick read but the author keeps your attention and the story flows well. Sex is hot so not for the faint of heart.
